Field Commander
Easton Jettie
Easton loves band because it is one big community and it involves people just like you! You always feel welcome and can express yourself without being judged or feeling embarrassed. Easton is excited for his role as Field Commander and wants to increase his music knowledge this year. Easton is also dedicated to making marching band a great experience for all the new and existing band members. He can’t wait to get the season started

Senior Drum Major
Tyler Robinson
Tyler has been playing trumpet in band for five years has been a great experience for me. For his senior year, he will be playing in Wind Symphony and Big jazz band. He aspires to be a commercial airline pilot and a professional music producer in the near future. He has loved being part of Herriman bands because we are a program that values hard work, dedication, friendship, family, and community service. As the Senior Drum Major for the 2023 marching season, he is honored to represent a program that strives for excellence and fosters personal growth through the language of music!

Junior Drum Major
Connor Price
Connor is excited to help lead the Marching Mustangs as Junior Drum Major and represent the scarlet, navy and gold. He is looking very forward to all the new memories to be made and competing in the marching band shows. Connor also plays clarinet in the wind symphony and loves to perform with his friends. Connor loves the band program because of the positive nature and the genuine camaraderie of the people in it. He is very excited to see the final products of the marching band and concert bands.

Woodwind Platoon Leader
April Harrison
April Harrison is this years woodwind platoon leader and she is so excited to get to know all of you both rookies and vets. Some of Aprils favorite things about band are hoopla, funny moments with directors, bus rides to competitions, Halloween rehearsals and amazing sunsets. She loves this program because of its acceptability, no matter who you are you will always have a place in the Herriman Bands program.

Brass Platoon Leader
Quentin Fox
Quentin Fox is our Brass Platoon Leader! He plays the baritone and he is going to be a senior this upcoming year. He loves band because it's a great way to make friends and express emotion.

Percussion Platoon Leader / Tenor Drum
Isaac Cummings
Isaac is a dedicated member of the Herriman High Drumline. He loves Herriman Bands for its culture and the wonderful people that you find here. Isaac also loves coming up with intriguing implementations of interesting percussion instruments and is excited for the many fun things planned next year. He chose to apply for leadership for his love of teaching others and hopes for new opportunities to grow that desire

Color Guard Captain
Sarah Mclaughlin
Sarah has been doing color guard since 2019. She plans on continuing to do advanced color guard teams when she gets out of high school. Sarah is more than excited to be apart of Herriman Marching Band leadership. She can’t wait to learn and help teach her color guard team.

Flute Section Leader
Savannah Steele
Savannah loves band because it is a place that she can be herself and she doesn't feel like she is going to be judged by those around her. Savannah is excited to be section leader because she is excited to help her peers around her to succeed and get better and learn to love band the way she does. Savannah is happy she has been in the band program for so long and that she has made so many memories with awesome people

Clarinet Section Leader
Samuel Hancock
Sam has been playing the clarinet since 5th grade and has loved being a part of band programs ever since. This year he will be playing clarinet in the Marching Band and Wind Symphony and playing alto saxophone in the Symphonic Band. Besides the band, he enjoys playing card games and video games with friends and listening to Rock n’ Roll.

Alto Sax. Section Leader
Kahli Spencer
Kahli is an alto player in many different bands, however, her main and primary instrument is the clarinet. Kahli looks forward to meeting all kinds of people and would love to learn and grow along with them. She loves making the fun and crazy memories with band kids more than anything else and is excited to make even more. Band is one of her favorite classes and she has never enjoyed any class more. Kahli loves helping people out if they are ever in a bind and will step up if they ever see anyone in need of assistance!

Low Reeds Section Leader
David Aleksanyan
David Aleksanyan is the section leader for the Low Reeds playing the Bari Sax. Outside of Marching Band, he’s on the swim team and plays water polo. His favorite hobbies are swimming, hanging out with friends, and racing cars. David is excited to be apart of our team and our family and looks forward to making stronger connections with his friends and fellow band members. His goal for this season is to make the Low Reeds the best section of the season!

Trumpet Section Leader
Chase Huntman
Chase is the Trumpet Section Leader. He’s going on his 6th year of band, and his favorite part about the program is the friends he’s made within it. Band would be nothing without all the people who work together to make it fun and successful.

Mellophone Section Leader
Levi Bergman
Levi Bergman is our 2023-2024 marching band mellophone section leader. Levi loves band because of the family he gets to be a part of. Though he is not in the boundaries of Herriman High School, he came anyway because of the amazing friends he has made here already. He loves our program and is eager to do his best to help those around him.

Baritone Section Leader
Packard Stout
Packard is the baritone section leader in the marching band this year. He enjoys playing the trombone in concert bands, and especially jazz band. He loves marching band because of the family it creates, and the exciting opportunities it brings him. He really enjoys the friends he makes along the way and joy it brings him.

Tuba Section Leader
Caleb Mecham
Caleb Mecham is the Sousaphone section leader this year! He has been marching at Herriman for 6 years and has played piano since he was 7! Caleb is looking forward to a great 2023-24 marching band season and wants to remind you, “eyes with pride!”

Snare Drum Section Leader
Gray Synder
Gray has really have enjoyed doing band. It’s such a positive environment of learning with friends and a great staff. He believes the program has pushed all of the students to become the best people they can be. He has learned so much and can’t wait for the years ahead with this group

Bass Section Leader
Auggie Cazarez
Auggie likes marching band because he gets to spend a lot with people and make friends. It also gives you opportunity to build your musicianship to a whole new level that you wouldn’t get in a normal concert band setting.

Front Ensemble Section Leader
Max McDonald
Max has been doing percussion for over 4 years and music since he was Six years old. He enjoys music making and producing, video editing, and 3D printing and designing. Max looks forward to eventually being able to be a part-time electronic music producer later in life. His favorite instrument is the Marimba. He has done two Marching Band seasons and loves the cool shows Herriman gets to put on.

Color Guard Section Leader
Natalie Larsen
Natalie loves marching band because of the amazing community and positive outlook it gives to her life. Working hard out on the field, no matter the weather, has helped build her endurance in ways she never could have imagined. Natalie is excited to be on leadership this upcoming year because she wants to help continue the Marching Band culture, as well as make anyone and everyone feel welcome to be a part of it

Hayden Rasmussen
Hayden loves Herriman Band because of how friendly everyone is. It’s like a big family that you can always count on and it just makes band so much more fun. He can’t wait to be a section leader because he loves making new friends and helping people out. Band is cool!
